FlyHiiiIdk where you at in your film journey so idk if i could recommend. It's great but pretty out there and the themes wouldn't make sense to someone who has no knowledge of sexuality in Japan
If you just starting to get into film i'd say check out Why Don't You Play In Hell by the same director first. It's a Yakuza flick with a Tarantino feel, so it's less different from what you're probably used to
