Ehh he did win that battle I guess but Wiley was kinda washed by that point and got media cancelled, then he battled Chip and ducked it when Chip responded talking about he's too big to respond when he started the beef. Chip has been around since the old days dropping it aged 16 went off and did the pop ting with chris brown and all that but came back to the scene this last decade he has probably been the most consistent for straight bars and wit, never heard a bad verse. Less grit but I would compare him to say a Jadakiss

COVID slowed down his momentum a lottt

He was supposed to go on a world tour the year of the pandemic.

He didn't recover well from that at all. A weak album on top of lukeworm singles and nearly no big viral moments opened up the UK rap scene for others to take it.

That's where artists like Cee and Dave, who already had strong followings, blew up.

I've noticed this thing where he deletes his instagram and twitter and reactivates when he has a new album
Disappearing from socials like that could be a factor too.
