I think this movie is good, it’s certainly not mind blowing or anything spectacular, but I enjoyed watching it.
The first five minutes psyched me out cuz of the “Hi I’m white cis gay!” S*** and thought it was gonna be some white guilt movie, but it’s not.

I don’t care about the main protagonist as much unfortunately because I hate the super history buff…but still an important archetype to have in the community.

I will say the attitudes of everyone at those LGBT museums are spot on accurate though hitches got attitude fr. Jokes were kinda funny but I think if ur gay u get them better. As with a lot of stuff in the movie.

The “what’s up bro” line is corny spoken, but if you’ve been on the apps you know some people really talk like that lmao. There’s quite a bit of satire speaking out about the community. To go along with the issues of jealousy when going out, and the fact that people who consider themselves couples still want to f*** (open).

The inclusion of a Throuple was really cute but they all sound like unreal bleeding heart liberals. Sounds basic af. The people I know in a throuple are not this god damn corny.

Fetish part was kind of funny and I got a similar story to this Ngl

I must say there are people in this archetype that fit the two main characters though. The tension they have where one is jealous they’re only going after buff Jock types, and the other being too watchdoggy when it comes to LGBT issues with every single person they meet is very real though. Nice ending to it but it could be a lot better.

I just feel as though this movie was never going to sell a lot cuz homophobia + this is a happy gay film where no one has people trying to kill them because they’re gay, or are worried of being outed by everyone. Cuz people only like seeing us in pain. I guess the creators comments don’t help, but most of the people replying to him below were never gonna even see the movie/trump supporters, so who gives a s***.

I do feel like this isn’t a “safe” gay movie with their inclusions of some dirty jokes and openly gay characters who are approaching life head on and not deterred by fear of coming out tho. It’s nice to see this hopefully inspire more gay films similar to a happier experience, but avoiding the rom com category

Gay cinema has been a thing for decades

I think if they would of just promote it as a rom com and been like we’re trying to make rom coms more inclusive for the next generation and were inspired by previous rom coms we grew up watching. And if it failed it failed at lease they made an attempt. Instead this movie comes off as the gay obnoxious gay friend your gf is friends with, that you don’t like not because they’re gay but because they’re rude and obnoxious.
