My main gripe with what was shown. Rue and Phranque feel out of place, their dialogue feels too modern and they give off MCU vibes. Idk what they were thinking with Phranque, a cube hopping around in combat looks awful

She’s def coming back to life and this will set up the kratos Atreus and Faye ps6 game in Egypt with all three playable.

I feel like those were placeholders tbh. I don't think the final UI is going to look that basic and it was saying R2 for every action

Game looks amazing and the bar for a linear cinematic action game is higher than ever. But the Marvelization of God of War is something that tone wise/narratively I don't 100% align with. Very noticeable in Ragnarok throughout the game and we're introduced to some rather quirky side characters already in this reveal. Don't think it'll ruin my experience and I look forward to discovering the parallels with GoW 2018, but I guess I just miss the mature tone they used to have.

i think it's pretty obvious when something is created solely for financial gain and profit incentive

personally my favourite media (regardless of medium) is when an artist sticks to their vision and creates what they want and that's it (think chris nolan only making a batman trilogy, tlou2 being a honest progression of part 1 etc etc)

i just feel like this game feels like insomanic fulfilling a deal they have with sony to make a new game and nothing else beyond that

This game is obviously going to tie right in to both GoW games and in no way feels like a cash grab. It looks like Cory Barlog directed tf out of this game . I just don’t see how you can watch the first 20 minutes of that game and say that this feels like a cash grab
