It’s just it normally takes a studio 6-8 years to change up so something new like a new ip so when it’s been 6-8 years for same feeling game it’s confusing

AldErsonGod of War Ragnarok had awful dialogue. They made the whole game like the stupid MCU. They also made Kratos into a little b****. I hated that game.

God of war 1,23 psp games the studio under jaffe also did different things and mixed it up a bit more game to game
The original trilogy all released within like 5 years of each other too .
Since 2005 all Sony Santa Monica has made is god of war .
If you isolate it to Barlog era it’s 10-13 years including the dev time on 2018

AquillaSSM has been on God Of War for over 20 years. They have had some much success with the IP to the point, where they should be awarded a new IP to work on
Ik there Sci-Fi IP was cancelled but damn at least allowed them to give another chance with a different IP
A positive for the new game is that I love the concept of an after life for the gods of different mythologies from I what I gathered. The color palette is minty green and purple which I feel is unique from the darker colored palettes used to represent the afterlife.
This feels more like a DLC than a standalone. Hopefully, there is more to be revealed
Was hoping still sci-fi ip or something weird but it is what it is . I think every so often studios need new ip or in the existing ip do something different enough where they can learn lessons .
I am glad it brings together other mythologies. After the wait hoping it feels more like a full game than dlc .
Again developer talking during gameplay and choosing a better section might have helped doesn’t look bad but both it and Wolverine were so set piece on rails triggering cut scenes or non playable part after part
