    Which is the better game?

I plan to buy and play both, but who knows, this quarantine may end sooner than later, in which I’ll be back to not playing video games at all. So in the event that I only get to play one of them, which one should I safely choose first?

Which one emotionally moved you more?

I'd get both, they're good in their own ways.

God of War had better combat, graphics, more of an action game, and felt like a movie.

Witcher 3 had a better story and aimed towards RPG lovers, with lots of replayability

    I prefer Witcher 3

    My opinions though

    Bloodborne

    Witcher but slightly

Witcher is way longer I'm pretty sure and less linear. Both have incredibly moving stories imo. If you prefer straightforward games GoW is an easier play but if you enjoy open world and a lot of side quests go for Witcher

    God of war imo

Both good games and you can get both cheap. Witcher 3 complete edition is like 15 on sale at times and it's a ridiculous amount of hours. It's longer, the choices and RPG elements are better, the story is a little more grounded and worth playing through if you like that kind of setting but the combat is average, it's much more of an open world with less direction on what to do.
God of war has a great story and much better combat in a less open world and more linear approach. It's shorter and has weaker RPG elements
Both great games you can't go wrong hut if you need something to last for the quarantine I'd say Witcher just based on the absolute ridiculous amount of hours the game is.

    Great explanation! Thank you!

    God of War

    Wither bored me tbh

And knowing you dislike open world games

God of War suits you best

    Thought you already bought tho

  • Apr 1, 2020

cant go wrong with either or

GoW if you want the better story, combat and incredibly fun gameplay

Witcher 3 if you want the better open world, richer side characters and vastly better sidequests

    Witcher 3.

    Both are genuine 9/10's (at least). Just to parrot what has actually been said in the thread already;

God of War is a cohesive, tight, cinematic masterclass with phenomenal graphics and gameplay mechanics. It's super gripping in a 'these 20 hours are some of the best 20 hours of my year' type of way. Very linear.

The Witcher 3 is sandbox with multiple 'worlds', fantastic side quests, and strongly fleshed characters. The game is so alive. Nuance and detail is in everything -- which is mental, considering how big the game is. Also, it has two DLC's -- both of which will tally you an extra combined 20-25 hours of gameplay.

    Witcher 3 no questions asked.

  • Apr 1, 2020

    god of war

yall gon hate me for this but, i found the witcher 3 boring as s***

  • Apr 1, 2020

GoW I got Witcher 3 but it's overwhelming with all the stats and s*** couldn't get past the frost boss in the beginning cause my sword broke

  • Apr 1, 2020

    god of war

  • That’s really close.

God of War is probably the better overall game, but I had a better overall experience with W3.

I’d say get GoW first since it is a lot shorter than Witcher, so you can get it out of the way.
