As much as ye pretends he doesn't care about sales, he does... he would never drop both on the same day because why make people choose between two different albums.
The same reason why different artists choose not to release on the same day is the same reason an artist wouldn't want to release two different projects at the same time.
And don't quote me and mention Frank because that was designed strategically to get out of a deal. The only way ye would drop both on the same day would be if it helped him get over the EMI / Def Jam s*** going on and fast forward the YZY Sound project (Assuming it's actually an imprint)
