I think you mentioned it at the start of this thread but I'm glad that you got to tell your pops that love was coming in heavy before he passed so he could get a feel for it.

This is going to be both the hardest moment for me and my family to deal with, but also so much growth and love will bloom. I think dealing with all the funeral expenses and hospital stuff over the last week was such a pain in my mothers head, and made me sit and think for hours on how we would be able to deal with it around the second day he was in the hospital. But his love shined through and motivated both the people he loved and knew, and people he would never get the chance to interact with. Even the building owner of the company he did maintenance work for came to see him yesterday before the procession, that really completed all the missing pieces I had lost when he was taken. all of you, and all of his coworkers, old friends,and of course all of my relatives that gave whatever they could, helped him arrive to the resting place he always wanted, and will help us stay afloat while we take a bit of time to re adjust. All the love and selflessness that he showed all his life came back around. And just like him, nothing will be forgotten, and I'm going to work hard to give just as much back to all of you.
