second day rains at 2 am while we neglected to set up tents
third day f***ing HAILS for three hours
fourth day landed with some wasps
past that it gets pretty standard, just a lot of walking and climbing and by the end i was enjoying it
best story is that one night because a boulder fell down from a canyon right next to the girls tent and they got freaked, so one girl came to each of the remaining tents. standard is same gender tents and im in a healthy relationship so i wasn’t tryna get any, more just enjoy the landscape.
anyways they come over. meanwhile im tryna sleep because i got half blinded by a tree branch during the day and was just not active at all. i wake up because i think i heard my water bottle tip (not a good thing in the desert) and try to go back to sleep. but i hear that same sound again and get up with the little energy i had. and of course, the dude i was tenting with is getting sloppy with me like a full foot or two away. and ofc im not going to sleep with that going on. but this s*** went on for at least thirty minutes, gotta commemorate the head game cuz that’s dedication right there but possibly was one of the most awkward situations I’ve been in up to this point especially when they fell on my sleeping bag and im thinking the f*** am i supposed to at this point
