have fun, you will fall a lot like everyone has said but DAMN it’s so rewarding once you hit that first heel to toe edge. hit the bunny slopes and maybe you’ll be ready for some bigger easier runs towards the end of the day (assuming y’all are doing a full day.)

and yeah unless you got someone going with you whos gonna give half their day to teach you, def take a lesson

I’ve snowboarded for like a decade, never once had a friend try for the first time without either pouting and giving up, or eventually caving and taking the lesson lol. Just get it over with

At the very least you need it so you don’t make your friends fall while getting off the lift every time

(Not fall to their death off the lift, but I promise you will trip them every single time getting off it if you don’t at least know how to control your board)

Be prepared to eat a lot of s***. Like you’re gonna fall on your ass all the time. Shuts fun as hell though and it’s kinda like riding a bike once you do it a few times
