if ur out in East LA i rly like this coffee shop called antigua its on figueroa their chipotle turkey sandwich and mayan mocha both slap super hard, if u like tacos and eat pork go to carnitas el momo, also recommend villa's tacos and they have more than just pork (carnitas el momo legit only has pork lol)

if ur in the valley go to ohana bbq, its rly good korean hawaiian food i love the chicken but most people like the short ribs (i only eat chicken and fish now so i havent tried) also bonus is the signed pic of frank ocean on the wall lmao

GLA has a lot of dope spots but I agree that downtown is kinda underwhelming. Maybe it’s just the hassle of getting in and out of there.

petersen automotive museum is cool asl and not that expensive, even if you're not into that sorta thing it's probably one of if not the best car museum in the world. definitely was a highlight of my last trip to la.

Pasadena and Santa Monica area have an INSANE amount of good food and fun things to see/do.

South Bay has great Asian food and nice beaches. Palos Verdes has beautiful hikes.

Downtown Long Beach has the best night life.

And then of course there’s Orange County with a huge amount of its own stuff nearby.

Just depends what you’re looking for.

DTLA is mid. Lots of great food in the valley, great beaches and nature options just outside of the city. I love living in LA but downtown and Hollywood is generally underwhelming for all the hype it gets. WeHo is dope for clubbing and bar hopping if you can find parking.

Best thing about the area is the cultural and geographic options it affords you and the wide array of people you can meet.
