Sucks that asteroid city seems completely shut out of this years award season. I thought it was incredible. Type of movie the globes would recognise more so than the Oscar’s too so I doubt it goes anywhere from here. Sad!

I liked AC but the Henry Sugar short film he put out on Netflix got slept on heavily

might be my favourite thing he's made since Grand Budapest Hotel

Feels like people fatigued by his form/style is leading them to offer less credence to his offerings. People may just be writing them all off as just simply Wes flicks because I think AC is up there with his very finest.

After Budhpest I stopped caring. It's just so meh to me. Happy people still like his stuff though. Just not for me

Really hoping Charles Melton gets the win for May December. An incredible performance. He's up against some of the GOATS so I'm sure it's gonna be tough but would love to see him get some flowers for his work.

Did you like Budapest? I do think many people feel the same as you. Was his high most successful film, had huge awards love, felt like the culmination of his style with little things he’d been perfecting up until that point. And then I think isle of dogs/French Dispatch was the nail in the coffin for some people being like yeah I’ve gotten all I’m gonna get out of this guy and his thing for the time being.

Isle of Dogs was actually really cute. In fact I think he should keep doing stop motion because I think it suits his stories better. I loved Budapest but it essentially was the last one I cared about and just can't get myself to watch more. I'm sure AC is good and I've heard it is so ill watch at some point but it's not on the top of the list atm.
