I have a serious question. Why should we not ban AI image making? I really dont see the use for it. Its a trillion dollar meme generator at best and a propaganda/misinformation/porn nightmare at worst. Obviously AI and stuff like chat gpt have business uses but i dont see the point in ai image making

Lol yes it does. The new iPhone 16 is built with the AI component in mind/future proofed for coming iOS updates etc. Nowadays, every major tech company has a central AI feature of some sort that is heading their product offerings.

to be specific im talking narrowly about just straight up generating AI pictures using a prompt, not the actual plausible use cases like AI art tools
IM still not sure what the actual use is for creating stuff like AI trump and mickey mouse

I see AI image making as the worst possible use case with a net negative use case. Everything else technical like writing or coding or data scraping is much more useful.

So much work has to be done still to edit any AI generated image.

Not to sound like a luddite but I just don't get how people can be so excited about something that will lead to the loss of MILLIONS of American jobs. Like where do you think all those people go? They aren't just going to die off, and they damn sure aren't going to be happy about losing their jobs.
