Anybody can choose the beat that sounds good, it’s not a unique ability
Instead people should just say “He gets the best beats because he’s plugged in with a lot of good producers”
People should give the flowers to the beat makers more often. Saying “he has good beat selection” is like saying “yea that joint was all him”
The only time beat selection is worth mentioning is when the beat is trash like on a few of Nas’ later tracks
Why is this in politics
also this is not a good take
artists pick different beats and vibes from the same producers all the time
sean picked the most basic metro beats of all time on Double or Notning

Na those were amazing beats, he just didn’t rap up to them
I think it does because a lot of these artists have access to top producers and usually have a choice of which beats to choose from
If you're a millionaire rapper and always choose the boring piano beat that means your beat selection / range isn't so great
Once it becomes your sound and vision (for example Rick Ross) then it gets interesting
@op nah, beat selection is a crucial part of an artists vision
Trav doesn't make beats really, but he'll tell his producers exactly what he wants from them. Without his guidance, the beats would not sound the same.
So yeah, the artists deserve credit for that.
