My MacBook is slowly biting the dust. Does anyone know a decent laptop that’s worth the price? I have a desktop computer so this would just be for light work/on the go.

In terms of specs, I would just like to be able to at least run Photoshop relatively comfortably.

It was a 2017 entry level MacBook Pro. Had screen issues and so I had the screen repaired for like 600 bucks and it hurt. Screen issues again and I won’t pay 500+ again I won’t do it (no apple care). Now it’s just slowing down overall and I’m tryna jump ship

Hard drives r more prone to damage say like if u drop ur laptop all the time u pretty much f*cked it up for life

Also ssd have faster boot up times bcuz no spinning disk like hard drive

It would be cheaper to upgrade storage than buying a new "cheap" laptop

I'd recommend getting a WD blue for boot drive and start using the Microsoft 365 benefits that come with being a student to access files through cloud storage

If you got it repaired by Apple and it's still having problems, I would try talking to a manager. Tell them just like that, they might replace your laptop or give you a new model. It's worth a shot at least

I think one of the “hard drives” I said is an ssd. Do you think it’s worf it to get my screen repaired then?
