    Nothing sounded like AOTL in 2010. Nothing has sounded like it since, either. When Ye debuted it during that livestream it literally changed how I viewed music that song is other worldly to me lol

    Respect.

    I'd say that Will.I.Am had been making beats in the same vein and probably did it better.

    Still, it seemed like Ye using his clout to call in big time favors as well as a flagrant attempt for a Grammy nod. Artistically it fell flat.

    AOTL is basically Run This Town/Empire State of Mind 2.0

    Those beats much more simple than AOTL. AOTL has the craziest drums, synths, background vocals from Alicia Keys, Drake, Rihanna. Piano from Elton John, Cudi humming and melodies, angelic horns. When he played it during the livestream I was in my freshmen dorm and I looked at my roommate like I had just seen a ghost or bigfoot or some s*** that beat literally made me rethink music man.     What do you love about it? Cause the production is corny synth s*** that sounds dated af in 2020 and lyrically its among Ye' worst set of verses from that era.
