Recommend me some GOOD retro games for the Steamdeck

no Zelda, no Pokemon, no turn-based games
I need some arcade/side scroller/platformer games that are not too pixelated looking, something like Jazz Jackrabbit or Earthworm Jim, or shooters like Doom/Duke Nukem

    Wario Land 4
    Pokemon Emerald
    Advance Wars
    Rayman Advanced
    Metroid Fusion
    Chrono Trigger

  • Metal Slug series

  • castlevania collection, megaman collection, contra collection, capcom arcade collection

  • It's not actually a retro game, but it's in the same style as a Duke Nukem - Warhammer Boltgun. Good low TDP game

Retro - I love the PS2 game Soldier of Fortune, that's a shooter.

If I had a steamdeck I would be doing all the half lifes, old turok games, pokemon stadium, gamecube era resident evil + remakes, maybe red factions, 2k street, doom3

the original driver and other weird driving games form that era were a lot of fun. the physics would always be so broken. spent so much time just driving around in it

theres some half life-like game I played where you were an astronaut in space and sent to planets with dinosaurs and s*** in it. the tutorial was super long and on the ship. wish I could remember the name, id kill to play it again (ok I wrote all that just to find it right away, gunman chronicals)

I was ogling the rog allys at the bestbuy yesterday too...

tbf I think a steam deck is just too big for these games. feel like rayman could be insanely difficult lol
