I’ve recently learned a lot of younger women, mainly early 20s do not enjoy Beyoncé’s singing. A shorty straight up told me she can’t sing, I was flabbergasted cause I never heard that before. Maybe I just wasn’t tapped in or it’s just a Chicago thing, but yea a decent amount of women aren’t all that hot on Beyonce like Twitter would have you believe.
Although I did have a coworker pay $2000 to go see her when she came to the city. But she’s approaching 30
im 20 and i love her so do with that wtv u want
that girl was just lying for a reaction though
The Weeknd
Its like look how good I can sing or bro just running with the Reminder flow for most of the forced “rap song” features - most of his rap focused songs too
Even in 2015 on features, it felt like when Skylar Grey is on Eminem songs as a typical one two punch of a
2 verses - 1 pop hook type thing
Nah u trippin. He was cookin with the features pre-2017. I think his voice got annoying on features after that though, he sounds fine on his own songs but he just sounds terrible on other people's s*** these days
Fantasia
Beyoncé is interesting cause i like her a lot but i get why she can leave people cold
!https://youtu.be/u7tFXue2kYw?si=TQeD1bgDdOgrKuuFher rendition of this is technically excellent and she’s a much better singer than Justin Timberlake. but i feel so much more listening to his version. speaking of Bey/JT, unpopular opinion but i MUCH prefer the version of Until the End of Time w him singing by himself as opposed to their duet
Beyoncé has always been a beast, but i didn’t start loving her voice until the 2010s when she got that richer, deeper tone. on some of her earlier 2000s records, her voice sounded too shrill for me to fully appreciate sometimes even if i hear its on point. hearing her belt with that huskier tone tho…

Been saying this for years. She ruins the song for me. The version without her is superior in every way and I’ll die on that hill
Is Katy Perry considered "good"? lol
lol probably not

i mean, it’s not bad by any means but i don’t feel the emotion. it sounds too rehearsed. every time i hear it, i feel like Beyoncé had a million things to do that day and recording this song was just one of those things
Probably Weeknd. Nothing against him as a person and it probably has more to do with the commercial heel toe he did after HOB but I really do not enjoy his new stuff.
I’d say Drake but I surprisingly enjoy quite a bit of his singing tracks
idk some niggas be needing help bro
my boy works extremely early in the morning, like 4 AM, this nigga be posting on his stories with drill music on FULL blast on his drive to work
idk how the hell some people do it
Got me bad with this
Could see and hear it in my head 😭😭😭
this thread does show that it takes more than "perfect" singing for someone to FEEL something.
For example, Brandy is 100000x a way better singer than Badu. I think that's probably the coldest take I think anyone can ever say.
I'd much rather listen to a Badu album before I listen to a Brandy song.
And sometimes a nigga is just too perfect to the point that it don't even sound human no more and in it's "perfection" it's just boring a.k.a. The "Jacob Collier" Syndrome.
Like great, we know you can harmonize 6 to 7 times my nigga why the hell your ig videos more engaging than your actual music my guy?
Oh man.
I think Giveon can sing...at least he has a good voice for singing. But he's such a bore.
glad im not the only one
Something about Bruno Mars voice causes fire and rage inside of me that I otherwise have never experienced
I personally love Bruno voice
26 pages and i notice nobody’s mentioned the queen
as it should be
You know dead rappers singers get better promotion.
All these fake ass niggas and b****es would say the same thing about aaliyah that they are saying about beyonce if she was alive.
Ppl saying bey, whitney houston, and mariah carey really make missy elliot’s heartbreaking tweet make sense
Them crackas really dumbed down the entire audience and won. And if Drake shifted how listeners view singing (not giving bruh that credit) than that’s top 3 WORST contribution of all time cause R&B has fallen TF off man on god!

Same but I do think Brandy early 2000’s work is underrated. Just as an artist badu is more unique and easy to listen to imo
