Idk how it is for you guys, but, for me, when I’m doing mindless favors that don’t seem like a big deal over and over again for various friends and family over the years… sometimes the thought of “what’s the purpose of all of this outside of just being a good person” creeps up.

Then, you get hit with a terrible tragedy and you begin to realize you built such a great support system over the years due to reaching out, doing favors, and generally treating people well… everyone comes together to lift you up and help you through a tough time… and all the sudden you have your answer to that question.
