I’m starting to go numb to all of it, it’s like the dumbest f***ing rollercoaster just tipped over the edge and we’re all on it and none of us asked to be here

Currently debating whether I should buy some index funds when the likely run happens tomorrow or just hold tight to the cash I have and see what happens.

More practically, I’m stocked up on seeds for spring, coffee, canned goods, toilet paper, and edibles. I’ve got my partner and my dog and a place to bail to if s*** hits the fan. Feels like March 2020 again lol

I work at Target so having a grocery discount is a blessing, but I’m expecting bedlam when I go in today, so I don’t know if shelves are gonna be cleared out or what.

I mean, we always basically were but now it seems they’re just accelerating the timeline, and it’s hard to gauge whether the entire party is in on it or if they’re just paralyzed by all that’s going on right now.

@op i’ve been noticing you s***ting your pants these past couple of days over the news. with the way things are going i totally feel you, but there comes a point, like @Flaphead said, where you grow numb to it sadly…trying to rationalize these things is stressful in itself. this is business as usual in the grand scheme of things in history sadly

as someone who values a social life and being around family, i hope that you have some sort of support to lean on because at the end of the day that’s all we got in this world to keep on living

The only thing so far that’s like really bad is the mass deportations like i know a lot of people whos lives are in limbo and could be ruined by the government at any second, the paranoia and depression and fear is so real right now. Not to mention this bullshit move isn’t even going to benefit citizens in the slightest, sometimes i just feel helpless, but we need people who think like us around, protest your ass off and be a helping hand to the people that need it, be a voice of encouragement and positivity, and do everything you can to go against the greed culture and let people know what’s up when they’re talking crazy. If there’s gonna be any kind of change it needs to start small, try and be the voice of reason and optimism
