Don’t be too concerned with my quoting. People are making valid points and I’m just agreeing.
You're right.
Op had an o***** writing all that
Honestly, maybe a mental one.
I've had real ones too though.
I just got 150 likes on a youtube comment, I just called my momma up in tears and told her we ain't gotta worry no more

you trying to get a visa i can help
If I can use to it to meet other people.
i kinda feel where OP coming from tho
there is barely any support here on this platform that likes to push this narrative that were important to da culture
yet rarely do people actually support folks
so obv after u have done all that hard work and succeeded, its like a "fuck u"
its like when people irl tell u "u couldnt do that" but then u go ahead and do the "impossible"
it just feels like bittersweet victory a big f*** you back
cause truth be told its hard in a creative lane to actually get ppl irl to follow you, even if they are ur best friends
cause art is subjective and lots of ppl dont like weird stuff or think ur weird for trying, thus lose all hope before u even start
thats why places like these are great
but often it feels like these places are even more hostile than irl
If you're quoting valid advice and points. thank you.
I might seem like Im attacking you.
I believe in OP. Whenever you're a fan and show actual support and interest in an artist they will notice you and that can open doors for you or at the very least give you some connections. I got connects with Danny Brown, Erick the Architect, ZelooperZ, Twelvyy, and Questlove (though he was a different kinda situation that also involved an internship).
I'm not one for excessive d***riding, but if you really f*** with an artist heavy and the things they make, absolutely give them their roses. You never know what it could lead to.
