    When will the world learn?

Grades don't necessarily measure intelligence, but they're meant to indicate your level of knowledge and work ethic relative to a particular subject.

With that said, I don't believe that poor or mediocre grades should be a complete dealbreaker when evaluating a person because the person might be a lot more capable than what's on paper. Besides, things happen in life. People have depression. People have anxiety. They miss classes due to this. It's not always laziness or slacking off. You can argue that "the real world" doesn't take into account people's personal matters. This is true, unfortunately, but this is what we need to change societally.

What kind of stupid thinking is this?

Age in MAJORITY OF CASES measures maturity.

Grades, there's exceptions but most of the time it does measure intelligence.

I feel like grades matter to show if someone is a hard worker or not

    “hard work”
sitting behind a desk for 10 hours reading a f***ing book isnt hard work nerd
try building a shed or maintaining a farm or something as a living

    environment is very important
if someone who was born in the ghetto and only got bad grades started at the same place as someone like trump who knows where hed be
theres people who never even went to school but who are million now, imagine if they were born in a suburb where dad helps you every night with your homework

now imagine someone like trump being born in the ghetto, imagine where he would end up
