Yeah I am hoping for the best even though some important people left Rockstar Games and I think they won't release anything that is bad hopefully so I'll keep myself busy with other games and stuff until GTA VI is out and then use a lot of time on it once it's out just like I did with GTA V

Yeah, a lot depends on how GTA V will do in 2022 I guess. S*** gonna be a decade old by then ffs And then you've got the classic 6 month - 1 year Rockstar delays you've got to account for.

I just hope the quality of the game is up to par given quite a few senior people have left. I'm a sucker for the Miami setting and think it'd do great with the hardware they'll have available so hoping either for that or somewhere entirely new. I'd say I also hope for some single player DLC but I think we're past that

My fingers is crossed for us getting a game that is worth the wait and that they do keep all or most of their promises this time around... Like not only focus on the online version of the game and do give us some good single player DLC as well.

Theres a reason why many planned rockstar games were canned like agents. Also they lost many talens like the housers and other devs cause of crunch culture during red dead 2

Red dead 1 was also almost cancelled.

Also Dont forget about the pressure from take two about a successor of a game which sold 140 million times. They will easily delay the game two years more if they think the games not gonna sell like part 5.

Red dead 2 was supposedly to release in 2016 but take 2 didnt like it, so they delayed to 2018

some key people left, and im not expecting anything better than what we got with V.

i was very underwhelmed with the single player story in GTA V. its the worst story they've put out in a while, imo. it was kind of short and on top of that the final mission when you killed off all the antagonists, none of the antagonists felt important at all. poor writing.

in san andreas you felt rewarded when you finally killed tenpenny and big smoke. in vice city you killed lance vance and sonny and were happy you got revenge.

when i beat V i just went "thats it?" and was shocked that was the final mission to the story. the antagonists for the endgame were less important than villains/antagonists that you killed early in the game or mid-game in vice city, san andreas etc.

Gta 4 def had the best story and protagonist

@SKYKILLA Well I hope for something as good as GTA V at least... That was a good game IMO. But I can see why you didn't like it. So therefore so do I hope that GTA VI will somehow be better than GTA V so I can enjoy it even more.

Haven’t read through this thread but this was just posted on Reddit. Obviosuly take it with a big ass grain of salt but this sounds fire if true:

I'm a former rockstar San Diego employee and I'm finally ready to talk about Gta 6 from the information i had when i was working there and the information i have now from other employees at rockstar

first of all, the map leak that has surfaced the internet recently is fake and its far from what rockstar is going for the game is indeed taking place in south America and vice city rockstar this time around is going through the old roots of GTA games and there is only one protagonist who is a male character coming from south America who is trying to make it big but this time around you aren't limited to the story you can take the route of a d*** dealer , bank robber , illegal weapons and item seller and more...

Similar to other huge AAA games that has came out this generation like the witcher 3 your decisions heavily affects the way you do missions, characters fates and more important of all the endings . similar to red dead redemption 2 there is a wide variety of side missions, activities, and random events which are way more than there was in red dead redemption2 activities like joining different factions which will affect your endings . you can burgle houses thankfully i can confirm 70 percent of the houses are intractable you can go in a lot of them blow up a lot of the buildings and more .

NPCs have a lot more characters and they feel more alive have their own life you can follow a lot of the NPCs and seeing them going into they're own houses eating sleeping going to work .

the mechanics of cops has been improved a lot when you get busted you should actually either escape there or serve your times and after serving your time people and cops in that area will negatively, positively or cautiously react towards you . there are a wide variety of different cops in the game for example there are cops who will take bribes and let you go , there are cops who will do their jobs the best way they can and will become more aggressive if you suggest bribing them . if you are a huge d*** dealer you need to have cops in that area in your pocket by paying them .
there are different areas in the game who will all have their own quests and story lines and will have different reactions towards the player .

sadly gunplay is nearly the same as red dead redemption 2 and to my knowledge rockstar hasn't improved it that much they might by the time the games released but not now at the moment.

the game is set to be announced in mid 2021 and released in late 2023 which i think a lot of people have expected that already. ( know that this might change but that's what Take 2 interactive and rockstar or going for)

a lot of the things that i have said in this leak has been said before the project Americas leak isn't completely true but has some truth to it like the location.

rockstar is taking a lot of notes from the problems in grand theft auto 5 and red dead redemption 2 they are already testing a lot of the things that are going to be in grad theft auto 6 like cars game modes and other ideas in gta online .

red dead redemption 2 guarma is indeed a test location for gta6 for rockstar too see how a tropical location could actually work

this is the kind of situation where only time will tell if some of the features i said may or may not end up in the actual game considering there's at least 2 to 3 years time left before the game launches .

Grand Theft auto VI is set to release on Playstation 5 and Xbox series x i have no information about the PC port at the moment .
