This tape really underrated, in comparison to his other recent works
It's an amazing album without any features, really underrated indeed
First part can be such a pain to get through sometimes. Second part is heavenly. Unnecessary beat switch. Could have just been two separate songs

Remind me, this dropped when he was released from that Austrian prison after the false rape accusations yeah? Gives "you only live twice" some really good context

Yea Crushed Glass is a perfect example of that
especially when you consider his thought process making this one too (TLDR = 3 different genres, 3 languages, 3 different generations"
3 generations = Top, Kennys dad, Kenny (if i remember his words correctly)
at the top of my head also, i remember the beats being sent seperate (wonder if this was from an interview back in 2017, i forget) and the people at Kendricks camp sort of stitched them together theirselves
Edit. i intially thought those two interviews seemed somewhat conflicting but my guess is 9th wonder made these beats in sequence and in alligningment with his concept but the beats were "seperate" etc, and then Kendricks camp stitched them together BUT according to 9ths premise.
