    No flocking SKRTT and Skrilla

Not his actual first songs but one of the best artist "debuts" ever that buzz/run still carries him to this day lol / it kinda fueled a career with not many huge moments after the start

Kind of the same with Thug

Tunnel Vision and Zeze were huge. Smaller but still big hits like Super Gremlin and Roll In Peace exist too.

You make a great case, I'll raise you one Jackson 5

This is undoubtedly the greatest debut single of all time.

this fits both @op criteria and @raps2 actually.

You know how confident you have to be to name your first album...after your first single...and that s*** is a classic?

    The music keeps playing
And your heart starts jumpin' and your head keeps spinnin'
'Cause the bass keeps turnin' up
It's 5 AM and you've just reached your all time high...

    Welcome to the party

I actually wouldn't say any Illmatic song is a good intro to Nas' discography as his style did change after that album - both flow style and lyrically.
