I gotta go with The Blueprint man
S*** is just perfection
Definition of a concise quality rap album
And its like that perfect balance of Skill, commercial appeal, artistry, street s***, and braggadocio boss talk
Hov's flow on this album has an argument for best flows of all time in the conversation with Life After Death Big
Wordplay was potent and not overdone
Production is a sample masterclass and the live percussion and bass underneath makes it sound like nothing else
Guru's Mix is timeless
And its all effortless, nothing feels labored or try hard
The Blueprint is it man, better album than Illmatic to me, better than Reasonable Doubt (not lyrically but overall), more cohesive and a better listen than more recent classics like MBDTF or TPAB
GKMC is actually close to what Hov achieved but its the effortlessness that clears imo. You can always hear Kendrick giving it everything he has which is dope but man Hov did all this s*** in TWO WEEKS sounding cool as a mf fan
The Blueprint fam
This the "Pet Sounds" of rap iykyk
Jays fourth best album after TBA RD and AG
I'm never mad at niggas who think this but at the same time though I think it depends on your metric
You could argue those albums are lyrically better or whatever
But in terms of what makes an album great I think the Blueprint has that magic the other ones don't
helps that its called the blueprint too. i see it @op

I think that about the black album
It’s one of the best rap albums ever to be made.

BP is very special not mad at someone saying it’s the best album
I do believe Supreme Clientele is the greatest rap performance in terms of sustained pure technical rapping over an entire album but he’s saying nonsesne 80% of it
The social component of rap is important to me. So it would be from a group. Ridin Dirty, 36 Chambers, Aquemini, The Infamous, The Cold Vein etc.
