So I had the other image I could have used, but the Gaspar one just made so much more sense for the album. When we shot it, it was just how I felt in that moment … and that’s also kind of how I feel on the album. Even though the original image I had was really strong and beautiful, the Gaspar shot is strong and beautiful too, just in a very different way. It’s much more raw. I think my label wanted … well they sent me mockups of photos of a shoot I did two years ago. I had long blonde hair and I’m sitting on a bed looking cute. I’m in a black dress looking pretty. It’s whatever. It’s a beautiful photo but that’s just what it is: me, modeling. And that’s what they wanted me to use instead of me looking demented in the shower.
