When that Are you afraid comes back at some point and they say yes and become a yellow lantern
The brother was talking CRAZY on the phone like he wasn't getting his whole album funded, nigga if you don't go pick Dad up like I said
I think I may have been guilty of this but damn it seems like with DC people nitpick literally anything lmao like with marvel, Hank pym is a founding avenger, a big character with important arcs including creating ultron, and in the MCU he’s none of that and just used to introduce Scott lang (who no one cares about in real life and def not on the level of John Stewert) and no one said nothing.
One day these people will understand that these are adaptations

CBMs weren’t as pop culture back when MCU first started. Nowadays gets the same amount of nitpicking
Back in the early 2010s comic fans were just happy to see their favorite heroes get adapted to live action nowadays they act entitled
Like what is bad about responding?
He does this whole honesty/debunking thing even though it gives stuff away
The more I think about it, I don't think John is going to claim Hals ring. He's probably only going to use it to open the vault and get help from the Hal-o-gram

I'm glad I'm not seeking out the online discourse surrounding this show, like I've done for MCU shows, Penguin, Peacemaker, etc. This show has been amazing but I figured the online chatter gonna have some f***shit after the initial trailer dropped.
Been really enjoying this so far. Want to learn about more Green Lantern lore, anybody have any of the comics or compendiums etc to recommend?

That's comic book s*** in general, really anything nerd adjacent. They'll nitpick the tiniest details and get mad if whatever they're criticizing don't live up to their standards

Geoff Johns run starting with Green Lantern: Rebirth in 2004 through 2011. Its everything you need and more
This was the return of Hal as Green Lantern in comics after 10 years, eventually jumps in to a retelling of Hal's origin as a pilot and with Abin Sur, then introduces massive universe wide events like Sinestro Corps War, rise of the other color lanterns, and eventually Blackest Night. John, Guy, Kyle, and other faves like Kilowog are supports every now and then but its largely Hal. On Sinestro Corps and Blackest all major DC heroes are there
The essential ones are marked alongside names of the trade titles. There's prob collected editions around too or you can read digitally on DC Universe Infinite: readingorders.com/reading-orders/geoff-johns-green-lantern?timeline=10

Do it in order man blackest night is cooler as a concept than a story and you need full picture of John's run.
Damn. Folks really deep into comics
I mean it is based on a comic book so Idk why I'm surprised
