"How could I drive you off a cliff and then crash you into a pole"
separate incidents motherfucker
I like this show but the chemistry between Pierre & Chandler is def what’s hard carrying most of the time
Pew pew

Sorry but no s***… they’re the main characters of the show and the plot is driven by the murder mystery… not one show would be good if you didn’t care about the main characters
yeah I dont know man I wish I loved this more
I’m a little bewildered at so many people LOVING that episode..

A lot of great character writing for hal and John imo
I thought making hal's dad death a suicide and making it a generational curse was an interesting take on his origin.
The whole metaphor of hal not being able to let go of the ball (life) was pretty profound and a full circle moment for his character. He picked the ball back up after his father got him to let go. Hal's will to live was strong enough to break a generational curse and explains why the ring picked him.
But the metaphor of the ball also extends to the ring. Hal's will being a product of his childhood trauma also explains why he was obsessed with keeping the ring

sure but we know who these characters are by this point.
give me some plot and some action.

I feel like we were missing a lot of context behind hal. A lot of people were still running with "the ring selected hal because of privilege" take still lol but I feel you there's a lot of set up in this episode for the finale

ion think that's what brodie was getting at, like you know how with the Sopranos, you got the main hook of one guy, Tony, who's seeing a shrink in violation of the omerta, but then you also got a roaster of other characters who are all so interesting in their own right
The Hal & John dynamic has been fantastic to watch. If this gets a S2 and Hal is truly dead, I hope John keeps the Hal-ogram around.
Haven't seen this one yet but something I learned about the Gorilla Grodd show a week or so ago from someone I know gives me a thought about where things are headed here and/or MOT

It's minor but
There's a display case at the Hall of Justice with 3 rings inside it. Assuming it's Hal, John, and Guy's rings. They're doing this public opening for it.
that whole scene was great stuff
it's so smart of Halogram to speak to her so he can get a read on both her and Hal's opinion of John. Very efficient storytelling right there
