Sep 24, 2024·2 replies2001 justice league is definitive john stewart for me and surely many others. whoever takes him on should be able to pull off a scene like this. also very telling that most of the casting discourse has centered lightskins and brits, i'd rather them entertain open casting. michael ward is the only one mentioned who seems like they can bring something actually exciting to the role while honoring the look, ethos and temperament of the character. y'lan noel is another understated candidate; dark skin, has experience as an action lead, already an HBO alumni, great physique and still within the age range they've been going for.

Find this hard to believe. The Ryan Gosling movie was ages ago, and it has largely escaped public consciousness with the MCU and the DC stuff taking shape since its release. Nobody remembers that s***.

Yeah I agree. The more I think about it I don't think it's true. Green lantern came out 13 years ago
