its solid but watchmen much better but Watchmen has more freedom to go deeper on topics not superficially and isnt a universe. Watchmen I thought the ending was rough but in comparison to this its not that bad to me

Nah I think Gunn will let characters have their own tone from their universes some. He will work with writers of the given content so they dont do things out of character at least.

He saved Hal and put the guardians in their place. Figured out who killed Hal. Went to a whole different planet and found Sinestro there. Tried to make things right with his mom despite the s*** way she treated him and that girl whose life they ruined. Feel like saying he didn’t do s*** is a bit much.

Feel like he did a good job with Mr Terrific and Metamorpho…wasn’t that many jokes imo.

Was in the military doing crazy ass missions like Captain price s***

I mean she gave him the reveal of the mystery in many ways. she set her self up to be caught because she felt guilty. She wanted to not be alone with her secret.

some moments it could have sat with rather than make a joke but the jokes themselves and use of them for most of movie wasnt terrible

They tried getting Hal out of there with any means necessary (wanted John to kill Hal) and just weren’t trustworthy. Like Hal said to him something like, “what do you think they’ll do to you if they are willing to have me killed?”

Had his parents raise John to be fearless and worked with his parents. Those birds def saw how they were treating John.

For me it was the perfect way for him to become a lantern. Him becoming just another lantern goes against his whole arc of questioning authority so having him exist outside the organization as himself was the only logical progression of his character.

He started the show off being a boy scout who obeys the chain of the command (whether that be his parents or the military or the guardians) to now living life on his own terms

He's been an independent lantern in some runs before so its not unprecedented
