They’re a big site that monitors the internet what’s wrong with it
its just dumb baseless clickbait
yal posting random ass critics lol. its okay to just enjoy it!

Why do some people act like enjoying CGI is a lack of intelligence? I don’t get that, especially when that practical effect at the end of this finale looked like dogshit
I mean outside of people overly defending this that simply isnt a sentiment
Watchmen balanced it great , Heroes balanced it great on a fraction of the budget with great writing before the writers strike
"IGN says FANS say ... OF ALL TIME"
lets get off the internet guys.
its a great casting but its a clickbait headline for a struggling ign
Think it’s needing it in the finale to believe the show is good is what people are saying is stupid, not necessarily enjoying it. Wouldn’t have fit in this finale. Nothing wrong with wanting green lanterns in space or a less grounded show.
I don’t think it was needed in the finale, but I think it is a little ridiculous that the final three episodes didn’t have any Lanterns stuff at all. For a show about Green Lanterns that’s insane
its a great casting but its a clickbait headline for a struggling ign
right? anyone actually checking for what f***ing IGN thinks anymore? lol.
but yes - agreed - it is incredible casting and he was a 10/10. I love that man.
For the entire season there has been highs and lows. The reviews there are an random smattering. Its odd when it comes to tv shows because they at times at least with this example will pick up one review from one week a publication but not of the other episodes. I dont focus or care about the tomatometer. But to get an accurate idea you wouldnt just pick up one of a publication reviews but not others
example
Mashable
the review they have is from august 14th
https://mashable.com/entertainment/lanterns-review-hbo
in fact if you look a large portion of the reviews they do count are solely from the pilot
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/lanterns/s01/reviews
wtih only about 10-12 of the reviews they show when you click show reviews not being from the pilot
all the reviews are dated August 14th or 17th which is when the show premiered
I don’t know if you’re purposely ignoring the part where I’ve sent countless rotten tomatoes critics throughout today who have said they enjoyed the finale or what but it doesn’t change that overall most critics like the show (91%) (lots saw the whole show besides for the finale) and it was a success for viewership and most people as confirmed by sites weekly review scores and the fan score on rotten tomatoes.
Definitely too woke lol and implying that POC can't play complex antagonistic roles

It’s fun to read other people enjoying something I am. Why can’t I just post other people enjoying it amongst a wave of endless criticism in the thread without it being “oh you’re posting it to validate your opinion!”
No? I just enjoy seeing and reading other people enjoy something I also did lol

you posted the percentage like it means something if you look at the reviews and click top critics you will see the last top critic to review the show was August 25th. We are in OCTOBER.
I am saying blindly posting that link and touting that percentage without looking to see when most of the reviews are from makes you look FOOLISH

Wasn’t what ign thinks it was a collection of posts from fans watching the show

And a decent amount got more than just the pilot before everyone else lol. Only episode nobody saw was the finale.

the white people in this show face no true consequences and John steals his ring which is a view many white people have of black people . That we take things unearned. After all of that abuse and everything else its still unearned.
This is pretty much how I feel about the DCU at the moment
Superman was solid, not great but consistent throughout
Peacemaker Season 2 was a slog that went nowhere
Supergirl was forgettable and generic
& Lanterns was really amazing for the first 6 episodes but dropped the ball in the final two
Haven’t finished Creature Commandos yet, but I’m hoping Clayface breaks this streak

This is also another thing that pisses me off sometimes, people act like drama & seriousness is inherently superior to other styles. The writing in this show was good, not great. The strong suit of the season was the performances and the chemistry between Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler
shot by a white person who faces no consequences. Hal dies because she fears he may hurt her child. Not in direct relation to consequences of his actions besides her fear. Also most read him as saying lets run away together either her him and noah or just her and him. But people say she feared running away again as she had to from gotham with her dad and it was a trauma response

Hal goes to prison for 10 years for his f***ed up in the town and Macon died
The ring was originally given to John in the first place

He lost his ring and basically everyone hates him lmao how is that not a consequence? Spending 10 years in prison.

https://twitter.com/colo_tau/status/2106955331909595428If the writing was good as many of us desired yes it would be what we needed for the show and themes over spectacle. its not thinking people are smarter for wanting emotional writing over spectacle its simply what last longer in our minds. spectacle comes and goes. You dont have to sacrifice good writing for spectacle. The show didnt need spectacle to be a good show or a good lanterns introduction.
he will be in superman which has infinitely more budget.

he wasnt loved by the town from the beginning lol
