Still wondering how grounded this is gonna be. Which it seems like it’s gonna be very grounded

Hope it’s a good story to justify that, cause grounded is usually not what comes to mind when I think of Lanterns but maybe I’m just not tapped in like that.
Maybe budget constraints forced them to approach the show this way, hope they don’t cheap out on using powers to save money though.

They’ve emphasized the ring in the media that we’ve seen. We’re not getting suits I feel Iike ( could be wrong ). And def not getting space ( again could be wrong).

Looks to be like detective work on earth with the rings. I’m sure we’re gonna get powers. How far they go is def a mystery and maybe a surprise

If this show turns out the way it seems it’s going to, my #1 question is why make Green Lanterns of all properties into a movie instead of a limited budget show

Lindelof for the most part hasnt let me down completely yet

I'm guessing DC Studios felt compelled inherit existing ideas, and also is balancing not having a significant budget for all projects. Doing GL as a show pre-dates DC Studios. Scars from 2011 are prob still around.

My issue though is that even in what we've heard about this so far, they seem to be ignoring basic Green Lantern mythos in order to do an earth based detective show HBO has abundance of already.

Feel like it'll be a pretty good show overall though. And tbf we haven't seen extended trailer yet..

Detective work in “space” is the whole appealing premise of the Lanterns.
