To be fair it seems like a hard type of show to market too with the concept they’re running with. Don’t think much will swing hype on this until it’s airing and fans are talking week to week

Don’t recall much of hyped reception to that first teaser at all. I remember it trended off of and had articles written on that lack of lanterns stuff. Even Grant Morrison got involved lol. If it had been otherwise prior comments would be easily ignored.

I’m certain they cut the second teaser this way as a pivot strategy after the last one. That core fanbase isn’t an avoidable one

Its not a matter of avoiding the core fanbase, more so that a sect of the core were being very vocal about their displeasure with what wasn't shown.

Grant Morrison didnt get involved because of how the teaser look tho, even admitted he hadn't even seen it. He got involved because the sect of fans I was referring got him involved by circulating an out of context clip from 2 years ago. Which was my point that the reaction it got was bizarre that a teaser did what teasers do...tease things
