Her people at her last label 4AD were super toxic and she had a huge fallout with them, she released her last album miss anthropocene to fulfill her contract with them so we were expecting her to go independent or something like that

I’m sure she did a lot of work to find a relationship that would be good for her so she didn’t have a repeat of what happened at 4AD
