He wasnt saying s*** is what I'm saying.
Using a contemporary flow but it's just a lot of babble....like most of these niggas do.
Nah, man was arguing that he’s saying the same s*** he regularly does. Which seems like the case to me

Seemed a lil less sharp, more surface then usual.
I gotta disagree. WKJ and Bulletproof Luh are near perfection imo, the only thing mach lost in that deal is the daringer hookup
Fair enough
And WKJ definitely is perfect lol
Anza dont even sound like Con lol. Its soulless.
Generic, surface level raps. Hes flowing but he ain't saying s***.

Idk man, same s*** as usual imo: rapping about jewelry, buying designer s***, guns, threats, pimp talk. Not much different there

You cant say that those 2 verses are as good or better then anything else on the album.
They leave you with zero. No clever punches, no gems, no nothing.
If you need to justify yourself liking it, no need to. Your taste is your taste.
But dont say it's the same as everything else he does.
Anza might be the most generic song Con has ever produced.

your argument was originally that the content wasn't as good: it's the same sort of content
were the bars themselves as good as conway's usual s***? imo no but that's not the point you started off with

That's part of the content.
In every other song on the tape theres something he draws from his past, or a clever reference or punchline. There's more emphasis on what hes saying then how hes just riding the beat.
His best music is way more personal and intricate.
Maybe content was the wrong choice of words but it still applies.
I feel you. I agree to an extent, but I feel like some s*** he could’ve done with WS and Con could’ve been great, like a DGSN 2, for example. Plus I would’ve loved to have a full Mach x Daringer project. But I feel you. He’s in a different bag now.
Disagree on that last point
I’m sure a Daringer project would have gone the way of Camo Mach and 5 O’Clock Shadow, haha. Fingers crossed for that Ras G tape.

Found this old tape Benny did basically going track for track against Weezy. It's pretty cool esp since 2020 they got a song together.
track 18 is a remix of lil waynes the mobb off his classic c2 song, and he says free westside gunn on it. benny n westside been down forever it seems

They’re first cousins
I f*** with conway album but feel like he couldve went way harder. And I think a benny album could blow all griselda releases out the water this year. Thats just me tho
I think it's safe to say that Conway is my favorite out of Griselda
Listening to the album it feels like he’s a blend of Gunn and Benny. He spits with the passion of a Benny and has an ear for beats like Gunn
Fear Of God beat is something else

it's probably my all around least favorite song on the album but I don't hate it lol for me it's a nice detour musically from the rest of the album even though it's not a very strong song...also think Armani did a good job on there...she didn't renegade the track or anything but felt like she fit perfectly on there
I do hope in general that Conway works on his content a bit more as he continues growing as a artist...I've heard examples of where he's able to stray into new territory pretty effortlessly and try new stuff so would like to hear more of that on his actual projects

Would've worked better if he put it as the last (bonus) track

I do think the Premo track or yeah even Jesus Khrysis would have been stronger picks for the final tracklist then that joint for sure...I do think he was trying to shake up the sound of the album by throwing one of those 'get p****' tracks on there but he does kinda half ass it to where the song kinda goes nowhere when I know he's capable of more...like I feel him and Armani could have put together a Down Ass B**** (Ja & Charli Baltimore) type collab out of this which were the initial vibes I got actually but upon listening a few more times it doesn't quite reach those levels lol

I think it's really out place in it's current order, because it's a pretty plain song. Nothing wrong with that, and maybe he indeed coulve went for a get p**** hit but its fails in its current execution. If he added it as a bonus track or as the last song on the album it wouldnt f*** the album as much as it does now for me. But that's because the rest of the project is amazing and that song just falls short imo

Absolutely. In its current form Anza works better as a bonus track...I'd personally replace it with the Premo song but Jesus Khrysis is also dope
