Sounds like Benny isn't doing the gritty sound for this, this production is LUSH af .
    Second track is amazing

glad he didn't. this sound is too refreshing, hit-boy laced him oh so well and the butcher delivered

    Meh.

Herbo did it better on his album.

Here, all those songs are sterile.

    I'm just saying lol.

I even listened to the Herbo songs that pulled this same trick and they just hit harder...no pun intended.

I wanted to love this album soooooo bad!!!

not even close. ive read your posts itt and you bugging lol but it's your opinion. I get what u mean with 2000's b!nk/just blaze but I doubt those guys would re-hash that sound again. hit-boy did his damn thing on here.

My issue isnt with Benny really. It's the production. This s*** just isnt hitting to me and the more I listen to it the more I hear it. Everything is safe sonically but few songs really hit like they should.

I'm surprised at this album frfr.

love hit and not to knock him, I wouldn't be surprised if he just found a bunch of sample packs and just added drums to em. I was hella shocked when I found out he did that on deep reverence

Imagine this sounding exactly the same as TT3 and Plugs Great projects, TT3 is my favorite Griselda release, but I don't need more of that. This is fresh af.

    He's 1 for 3 imo.

This album is good despite Hit-Boy, not because of him.

yea this project is really good. Timeless really the weakest joint off this

Timeless reminds me of some crazy overproduced 2009 s*** I f*** with it though, even if it's not my favorite

Hit-Boy is like an android programmed with Kanye West and Swizz Beatz discographies.

He can produce pretty good facsimiles of what Ye or Swizz would do to a track but they'd always lack the soul and heart of the genuine article.

2020 might suck for everything else, but getting 3 projects produced by hit-boy and them being all 8s at the minimum is fantastic. shoutout nas, sean, and benny. hit-boy the goat. also when freddie's verse starts out with him saying f*** it weren't gonna do a verse, the drops a great verse that flows so well in the beat. i know pray fro paris was my fav griselda project this year, but from the production on here, this might be better than p4p. hit-boy can't fail.

i think as similar gunn, conway, and benny are, there’s something different that makes certain producers work better for them. i think gunn would the best over grimey and dark boombap beats, conway sounds best over the dark trap-esque beats like on his last album, and benny sounds the best on hit-boy production and soulful sample stuff like this. his best song is crowns for kings which he really shines and flows well over it. that’s just my opinion.

this album proves imo that benny is the best in the griselda 3, but they are all goats.
