It’s either like there’s way too much going on in the beat (Tear Gas, Babas) or mind-numbingly empty sounding (Drumwork, So Much More)

Even the mix on John woo flick wtf did they add during Benny verse smfh

Lmao it sounds like they tried to do layered vocals but by using the exact same vocal takes on top of each other

Bruh lmao I’m dying over how crappy So Much More is mixed right until the outro where it suddenly sounds amazing. How’d they botch it this bad

So, my impression of this is that GDMM should've just been LULU with Piano Love and GDMM added. Those songs are so good compared to the rest of the album that they stick out like sore thumbs.

Badly. Piano love is god tier, wudve changed lulu rating. Remove the contract and add streets done changed or kilo in the trunk. Classic tape. Lock load shudve just had beans. Chanel pearls is weak. Guilty and so much more are lifelesss. Babas is just mumbling and noise.

Shady Records stays a terrible label? Real MCs should never sign to Shady after what they did to Slaughterhouse.

I'm still pissed at Just Blaze saying "iN tHe cOmiNG mOnTHs, gRisELdA aND tHe bLazeTTEs iS cOMinG oUt."

I'm sorry, I will not get over this lmao.

underwhelmed. Have been since after LULU. Not sure what's going on with Conway, but something just doesn't hit the way it used to. I think he just tries harder on his feature songs, as of late

  • Feb 25, 2022

need Conway to get on his Boldy s*** and just lock in with Alchemist/Daringer and drop several projects. Alc songs are always consistent and fire with Conway

100%. Tracks he has with Alc are so much better in comparison with any other producers he works with. Aside from Daringer

God Don't Make Mistakes has some of Conway's best bars ever. He's up there with Mac Miller on his abilities to write great introspective music

  • Feb 25, 2022

And it’s not gonna change because the masses, people already on twitter, Reddit, ig “yo this your best album by far” “best Griselda release” “aoty already” Conway gonna see that and think he hit the mark. Granted the issues with this album are shadys fault but still.

Think about all the projects since food 3 excluding fktg, imagine had he took Al the gems from each and just made 1-2 projects. He’d had another reject or goat. Sadly almost ever artist has become a playlist artist, u get a 10-15 skng project keep 2-3 from it and move on.

Are they ANY projects from Conway that YOU are looking forward to this year?

That's the thing that's frustrating smh when Conway is in his pocket like on Babies & Food, War Paint, GDMM, etc he's one of the best.

Tbh besides the joints Wes works on newer Griselda doesn't really move me like the 2015-2018 material.

100%. He shines so hard on those tracks. I wonder if him parting his contractual obligations from Shady/Griselda will help or hurt his creative abilities and get him back on shining hard like he could be

edit: also funny you mention Babies and Fools. On an interview with Alc and Con, Alc said he didn't initially think Conway would be great on that beat. Come to find out he killed it

Now that you mention it, imma be honest and say I’m not sure any GDMM verse touches War Paint

His Wild Chapters verse and second verse on Stressed are for sure some of his best ever, but other than that I’m not sure

Its tough to say broski, albums like FKTG/GDMM aren't horrible but he's clearly in a different space now, maybe he's comfortable with it.

Creatively speaking I would love to hear a Roc Marci produced Conway album. Maybe all he needs is good direction.
