Statik got a dope lineup of MC's on this one...wish Mach was on One 4 Ages though
This might be a hot take idk
But Westside Gunn single-handedly saved and is carrying a very sizable sector of rap on his back. Like I was thinking of all the artists he’s helped put on, like Conway/Benny/Mach/Rome/Stove
Then you add this to the intensity of the light he shined on the existing underground in general. I wouldn’t care about artists like Roc Marci and Meyhem Lauren if it wasn’t for WSG
You also add this to the legends he lit a fire up under like Alchemist and Tyler, the Creator.
He truly is a Mt Rushmore figure when I think about it, but he doesn’t have that “spotless” discog or the hits to back it up. But thank God for that too because him not holding back and doing him has kept rap exciting for the last several years.
When you look at rap today vs 2016 it’s so clear how blessed we are as hip hop fans today and for the most part it can be traced back to him specifically
Yoo
Classic on the way

Before Who Made The Sunshine, I thought the only flaws in his discog were his EPs which were pretty inconsistent in terms of quality. But a HOF resume nevertheless
Gunn + Conway + Hommy alone have more classic albums in the past decade than anybody else
And I hate to use the word classic but these joints are in every aspect - HBO is still as
fresh as it was when it dropped and I’ve played it weekly if not daily since - it gets even better as I get older
I just replayed Lulu - who could possibly f*** with this? Still?
Gunn is undeniable
The quality stands the f*** out and time will do nothing but accentuate that further
