So what's an average album.usually rated?
Cause Griselda is usually above average.
In The Source era, 3.5 mics was average.
I'd give the better Griselda releases 4 mics tops.
Griselda are good but they have the absolute worst fanbase.
Most of these guys are the most middle class people going but who love performatively acting like griselda bringing REAL rap back, the real gritty street stuff.
They release a new album or tape every 2-3 weeks at this point. If some 'mumble rapper' did this with the same level of variety of sound/subject matter then these guys would be slandering it daily. But cos its real rap it gets a pass. Westside Gunn has released about 20 tapes where half the content is him saying ayo or do do do do.
Comparing these guys to wu tang too
griselda is nowhere near wu level for individual skill or variety or delivery or anything tbqh. get outta town

F***ing thank you. Idk how ppl keep eating this s*** up, their content just gets repetitive with how much s*** they put out
And dead at the fact that anyone thinks Griselda has something better than Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords or 36 Chambers, even the mid Wu releases s*** on the average Griselda release
I will say Boldy James is very promising though

Meth already smoked Conway on their song
Griselda isn’t there yet, but I believe they will be when it’s all said and done. Remember they may have been rapping for awhile, but they are just getting started in the “mainstream”
Their merch already sells out instantly and resells for 100s if not 1000s.
How can you listen to this song and not have a screw face the whole time is beyond me
Not to mention this album cover is actually a legendary bum from Buffalo lol

I'd say Con is as good as most of the 1st string Wu members in their prime.
Benny and Gunn arent that far behind either.
It's just the Wu's frame of reference takes them.to another level. Gunn has a bit of that in him. It's the frame of reference and the way they view the world around them that made all of the Wu superheroes. They just had a sense of theatrics and creativity and world building back when no one had went that far with it.
Wu different. Cant compare nobody to those guys.

!https://youtu.be/o4l2HN5yiwIAren't they about to retire or some s***? I just hope that Gunnlib will be as good as the Freddie albums
Benny wants to go mainstream and he'll just be a Pusha T type rapper without the metaphors and the beat selection
After playing Westside Gunn album which is AOTY I’ve come to the conclusion that Wu tangs artists never reached the levels of Quality Griselda artists touch with ease on the regular consistently. (Supreme Clientele was lighting in a bottle moment so don’t bring it up)
Only built 4 cuban linx, liquid swords.

Ever since one of the Griselda dudes said they riding selling keys while listening to Mos Def (Black On Both Sides)I just can’t shake that feeling off that their just a gimmick for rap nerds to eat up.

!https://youtu.be/o4l2HN5yiwII think when they merge high art with the the streets, that's when Griselda is at their best. The juxtaposition between those two worlds.is what they need to continue to hone in on. That's the vibe and that's why P4P hit like it did.

I know WSG has been talking about retiring for a minute. But I get it
He’s more of the visionary/businessman of Griselda in my opinion. He’s got great musical aesthetic, and an amazing artistic design, but I’m pretty sure his real passion is the big picture stuff.
I can’t remember which interview it was, maybe with rap radar, but he said the plan was always for him to stop rapping at some point and become more of the tastemaker for Griselda/businessman

f***in just wearing bennys merch can catch you a parole violation in Buffalo lol

Yeah he will be an amazing exec producer, hopefully he can give us the next Kendrick tier talent or revive the careers of some washed up legends.

He’a already up there as one of the best exec producers in the game. If he links with a higher profile artist, he can orchestrate a f***ing classic

I agree. Which high profile artist do you think he could link up with? Imagine if he helps Rae or Ghost with their beat selection/hooks (since it was the only problem with their latest albums).
