This is a basic microbiology lab protocol...you realize this kind of work is being done at most universities and research hospitals right? I do work like this on bacteria all the time.

This lacks context, it says Coronavirus(which includes a lot of other viruses AFAIK) not Covid-19 in particular and it was sent to Fauci, seems like someone was suggesting him something for research or something.

No they are not specifically making bio weapons, but bacteria and viruses are being created and altered all the time.

What's this about Fauci's emails?

Plenty of reasons why:

Getting rid of a president that tanked their economy with his trade blocks, wishing to advance past other countries by having them spend a ton of money on dealing with the virus while China can resume back to normal quick, turning away the attention on themselves and their shady ass corporations (tencent and their former CEOs disappearance was a big story prior to the virus, tiktok and its accusations of being used for spying on foreign land, etc)

For anyone freaking out, let me lay a plausible and possibly likely reason for this email.

It’s March 2020, COVID-19 is already spreading and the scientific community is shifting focus on it.

There is a possibility of a lab leak, how can that be confirmed or refuted, well you look at what bioweapon virus are made that could be similar and compare. A person working on a coronavirus sends the protocol to Dr. Fauci...now when virus samples form COVID are being examined they can look and compare it to this man-made virus and look for matching structures and feature.

This email can just as easily rule out a bioweapon virus as it can confirm one.

Like, if the Chinese government (or even the American government considering the source of funding) created a virus that killed 3 million people, destroyed small businesses and created a huge transfer of wealth to the rich (which will likely continue at a faster pace than before well beyond COVID) there should absolutely be repercussions

If it were made in a lab there are even more important questions- like, did either government leak it intentionally, know it was man made and cover that up, and could knowing the process for making it have sped up the process of finding a cure? For all we know this was biological warfare. Not saying it was, but an investigation absolutely needs to be done.

There’s certainly investigation that needs to happen but if the leak wasn’t intentional don’t see how it’s really chinas fault

If it actually was man made and wasn’t intentional, the question will be how much the Chinese government knew. Did they cover this up, and if so, why? Knowing it was man made and how it was created may have changed the timeline on developing a vaccine.

Lots of questions that need answers if this turns out to be true
