On a serious note though does GTA IV not retain the look of the first 3 games while making an advancement to you?

Some of the models look a lil wonky, but honestly no more wonky than they did when they first droppee. Was hesitant on copping, but the trailer sealed the deal for me.

yeah this is 100% my reading of the situation, people disappointed by this probably don't have any actual nostalgia for these games from when they came out and were more hoping they'd make them approachable to younger fans who hopped onboard in the last 10 years.

I got the official playstation magazine that I read that lead me to get the game

But GTA IV is from a completely different gaming generation. This is upscaled but it still has the soul of a PS2 game. It's only gonna look so good unless it's an actual remake

Graphics don't define games but much of the "improvements" theyve made are in a different direction than even the aesthetic of each individual game

It would have been cooler if EACH remake remaster had its own style just like the games did when they released cause there was some time in between them.
