I only run an overdrive and a fuzz but some good effects are

Chorus
Wah
Compressor
Phaser

Idk I'd recommend a multi effects unit that's cheap but you can test everything out

I think if you consider yourself relatively new, you need to continue getting the fundamentals down before getting any of the bells and whistles.

A lot of the songs I like, the guitars have bright and crisp tones. But I like a bit of everythingexcept super hard rock. And I enjoy some psych sounds too. Men I Trust, Crumb and goat girl, and Beach house are probably the main examples.

I was given the boss distortion by a friend, and I bought the small clone chorus which should be coming today

Multi fx are really cool, but they be EXPENSIVE, and kinda intimidating to me
