The charts are supposed to show who's more popular among the population. 1,500 streams equals 1 album sale.
What do you think represents what's most popular better:
1 crazy stan buying 10 copies of the same album to inflate sales
15.000 streams from a loooot of people, that results in 10 sold copies?
tbf i don’t agree that one person should be able to buy more than like two albums but still streaming is inherently non committal while spending hard earned money on something is
He’s not struggling on streaming, the first week streams for Dawn and After Hours are borderline identical
It’s just that hip hop streams more, especially on Apple Music where Billboard weighs those more being that they’re all paid streams, unlike Spotify
Nope, there's a difference of almost 50 million streams in the first week. That's a lot. Especially when you consider that After Hours had other ways of consuming the album, like the physicals. With Dawn you were left with streaming only, yet it had 47 mil less streams in the first week.
again if it’s this easy to get critics to give you a good score than why doesn’t everyone do it
that's definitely not for everyone. happens rarely with big artists, but smaller acts trying to "befriend" some specific writers and publications all the time, keeping in touch with them. if they succeeded on early stages, then the later reviews might actually just mirror it
that's like fantano scores and rym ratings correlations (like rym is literally fantano audience), but more complicated

After Hours had 50 million more streams and less tracks. That's not identical that's a huge difference. 220 million vs 170 million. He definitely lost some fans
once again sir why were baby genitalia on your mind when speaking with GODHAND approximately 22 minutes ago?
Weeknd still won. Almost beat gunna with 0 physical albums!!
-- Twitter and IG comments
Same niggas itt from last night still arguing
I was right in saying this was gonna be the highlight of some of y’all’s weeks
Wassup SHAQ nice to see you're back too
Just realized these Gunna Weeknd sales threads is a trilogy
1st: 100 pages
2nd: 100 pages
3rd: 200 pages
Weeknd still won. Almost beat gunna with 0 physical albums!!
won or almost beat pick one chump

Because believe it or not every artist doesn't care about critics. How many times do Ye and Drake got to get s*** on and still keep doing them no matter how many times critics beg for them to make the music they want to hear? When you're at the top you don't give af. I'm surprised Abel still does
feel like that means they just arent active enough to have people follow them or it's a new account
like you were active enough to get 60 but only 60
Would Gunna have outsold him without the features? what is the narrative here?
Cry about it
People are trying to say Dawn was a surprise rollout but DS4 actually was one and Dawn wasn't. There's no way we can spin this
Wassup SHAQ nice to see you're back too
I came back to drop that comment. Y’all still in here going back and forth like some hens
won or almost beat pick one chump
Its a joke lol, neither had physicals first week
Its not common for physicals to count first week, since they gotta ship first week
And Weeknd still did more pure (digital) units

All of Kanye’s good albums are acclaimed (except 808s i think)

Y’all are acting like one of the biggest songs of all time isn’t on After Hours
it’s not that huge of a difference
