Weeknd probably already had an artsy fartsy fake deep quote ready for his #1

Yup feels good seeing the other side and getting an actual authentic response

okay, and im saying they get this hipster taste from the way they are raised from their parents who look at rap as an inferior form of art which is often racially motivated. agree to disagree, because clearly we’re going in a circle now

Nigga how is it racially motivated when they listen to rap too? Just not local street rappers or street rappers in general

do you know how many kanye stans and kendrick stans literally primarily listen to rock or metal and pick these particular artists because they’re supposed to make “high art” and are supposed to be “genius” while looking down on niggas like Keef or Wayne who are massively influential and seminal to the genre?

like don’t even get me started man, you’re not gonna sit here and tell me “oh it’s solely because they just don’t like the music”

    give me a break

Sure, but don’t act like it’s the same thing

It is 100% the same except Drake didn't post a hashtag himself for it. People just naturally joined in and it ended up going #1 on billboard and being one of the biggest songs on tiktok in 2020. I have yet to see anyone on YouTube Shorts doing anything for TMB except the couple examples Abel posted himself

Are we itt pretending “tiktok bait” songs don’t have certain musical characteristics to them?

    • nursery rhymeish
    • short
    • kinda minimalist
    • hiphop influence or pop nostalgia from any period

Not saying songs with these qualities were motivated by being big on tiktok but come on we know what it means let’s not be obtuse here just to have thinly veiled stan wars

They have free healthcare bro they can’t be racist. They totally didn’t get the money for their social programs from 100s of years of brutally violent colonialism either, they threw all that money and infrastructure they got from it away after WW2 and started over as a beautiful society with zero racists or benefits from their historical imperial domination

    Wtf is this post

But these people are actively cheering and rooting for The Weeknd’s downfall. Like I said they’re not even happy for a Gunna they just are happy that The Weeknd is failing
