Wheezy probably showed Gunna the beat first since they are always working, possibly on the cutting room floor from DS3 or Drip Harder. I feel like Wheezy had the demo but either Drake or Quavo wanted to hop on it. Maybe Gunna didn't think it was a big deal and wanted to give his homie another opportunity to work with artists that were bigger than him. You gotta remember this is 2018. Gunna was YSL and he had a couple songs popping, but nowhere near his peak. It would be selfish to keep your mans from working with 2 superstar artists just for another track. It's cool to hear Gunna's take on it, but I don't think it was worth dropping fr. He has way better songs.
