This is how a lot of gang leaders are treated. This guy I grew up with ended up becoming a shot caller for the Rollins in my city. When he got caught slipping and locked back up this is basically what they did to him. You watch any prison documentary a lot of times leaders are separated from the rest especially pending trial to prevent things like potential witnesses getting hurt. There’s a blind eye to these situations when it’s a regular person because they are seen as criminals and “deserve it” people empathize with Thug and Gunna in the situation because they like the music and can empathize saying it’s inhumane and they need to be free. It is inhumane treatment but I wish people held these views in general over the prison system vs when it’s happening to someone they like.
