Imagine if gunner said "all you are is a guy who yells on beats" lmfao ktt would be livid
KTT just a bunch of d***riders man
ain't no winning
niggas dropping mid on the regular and putting the good s*** on the deluxe just so you tune in
how is there any downside to an artist dropping a cohesive album full of songs that might not sound so good out of the context of the album, the. dropping a bunch of bonus songs on the deluxe that wouldn’t sound good on the standard album but each sound good on their own? the only people who should be disliking that concept are the people who don’t like the music to begin with

Because half the time the standard album wasn’t even cohesive to begin with
It in itself was just a playlist full of singles
Then on top of that they go and drop a deluxe with a slightly altered cover and they think they’re doing something
Out of the 32 songs on Eternal Atake there’s like only 7 bangers everything else was mid
Like I liked WUNNA and My Turn deluxes but to pretend like the deluxe songs were some wildly different concept that couldn’t have been added to the standard album is laughable
EA deluxe I could see, Uzi actually had two sounds.
But he was the standout not the norm
the deluxe trend is just to put out the most low effort tracks from the backend for streams
its a damn shame
yea uhhh no bc anyone with enough followers can get first impressions streams, but the music has to be catchy to continue getting streams. it’s not like sales where you might get tricked into buying an album you don’t actually like off hype. with streams, the consumer has to actively keep enjoying the product for the artist to see any benefits from it.
It does tho. Deluxe albums are basically the 2020 way of putting out super long albums full of filler and getting away with it

man u got it..
im tired i dont feel like arguing
Fans: "We want music!"
gets deluxe album
Fans: "yo wtf stop dropping so much music"
If you was hype for a movie and you find out the length is 4 hours long wouldnt you be like ight thats a lil excessive and cause your hype in the movie to go down?

i’m talking in general. & even in the example of PxBP, the standard was very cohesive. that’s part of why so many people reacted to it negatively, bc they wanted more variety. that was like the most common critique of it.
