W fresh water a lot of guys dedicated do a constant drip so water changes 100% every week.

Or something like that, I aim for 50% weekly, I've been to a few larger places and it definitely has a smell but it's not like "ammonia-ey" like you would find and some pet stores that aren't really up on maintenance.

Also sorry for the loss, Im in 8 years with a catfish 21 super long

Looking at the video now it's a pretty crazy setup

We never had anything like that and nothing continuous, just a very basic filter that wed change every so often

    Thanks

Thats a big big fish, the late fish's tankmate was a ~3in catfish, it's been around for 8-10 as well

Also reptiles/amphibians are even cooler as pets imo cause you don't have to deal with the water parameters

You have to clean the tank though

feels like this guy enjoys it more for like the competitiveness of farming the best shrimp

the first guy was sweet because he uses it to treat his ptsd and just realy enjoys the colours and wildlife preservation

Ah I gotcha. I wasn't able to watch either video at work yesterday.
