yo facts, every song on there was a single except for track 7. i thought it was the best way to play the system nowadays and I was pretty much rewarded (5/7 of my songs made spotify editorials so far, with the 6th one just dropping today so we'll see)

my first song that got any attention was in like october 2018, it happened pretty much outta nowhere, I distributed thru a blog (run by a good homie who i met thru ktt1 hahah) and got posted by another good blog (hillydilly) which led to some record labels hitting me up, I did the whole meeting thing, it was interesting

that song ended up getting an editorial on spotify, my first one, for like a week. in 2019 i dropped a few more songs and an EP, and 2 of those songs got editorialed as well (on this one called Fresh finds)

I dropped my first song of 2020 thru a label called kitsune musique (like the french clothing brand w the lil fox) which helped me get on a bunch of other playlists especially in Asia. that song ends up on the shazam charts in Korea sometimes til this day because of it hahah

from there I started using a more "industry" distributor which helped with some of the pitching inside the Spotify for Artists app before release, and I started noticing some more playlisting happening. however they were inconsistent (i.e. didn't pitch every one of my releases) and some of the ones that did the best weren't even pitched by them. so I'm not sure how much it truly helps. I think just staying consistent was the best thing for my playlisting
